Downtown Blacksburg continues to progress as the area grows, but it is not without the help of great members. A healthy downtown is essential to Blacksburg's success and DBI members help us to continue providing quality programs, events, and special services.
Downtown Blacksburg, Inc. (DBI) strives to make the downtown district a flourishing place to live, work, and play in the Town of Blacksburg. The commercial downtown district is located between Progress Street, where it crosses North Main Street, and Eheart Street and is home to over 150 businesses. This includes arts and culture, services, entertainment, non-profit, retail, restaurant, and portions of the Virginia Tech campus.
Downtown is also home to many historic properties including churches, buildings, and residences that are part of the original 16 blocks.
Supporters and fans of downtown include local residents, students, alumni and visitors to the New River Valley.
