11th annual Pretty In Pink

Downtown Fundraiser for the Virginia Breast Cancer Foundation

Please come out and join us in celebrating our 11th annual fundraising event for Pretty In Pink where all proceeds will go to The Virginia Breast Cancer Foundation.

Pretty In Pink offers a fun-filled day of activities culminating in an evening event including live performances, speciality drinks, heavy hors d'oeuvres, and a silent auction located at Kent Square.

Cupcakes for the Cure
Purchase a special pink cupcake on Oct 17 at Kent Jewelers. A gem stone is hidden in every cupcake and one lucky person will find a diamond. Cupcakes donated by Next Door Bake Shop,. Gems and diamond donated by Kent Jewelers. All proceeds to VBCF

    The annual silent auction takes place during the evening festivities and will be open from 5 -7:15pm. All bid sheets will be collected and winners will be announced by DJ Earl Brown at 7:30pm. All baskets must be paid for and picked up inside Kent Jewelers immediately following the event.

Fiber Art Exhibit Opening
From homespun silk, yak and wool blends to work with found objects inspired by nature, from traditional quilts to handmade purses and scarves, featuring works by Loretta Bedia, Carlee Bradbury, Kathy Combiths, Paula Golden, Molly Graham, Susan Kraterfield, Jenna Pynn, Diane Relf, Shirley Sellers, Katy Shepard, Elvira Skuzinski, Quin Spencer, Joanna Sunshine, and Karin Tauber. October 17- Pretty In Pink- 11th Annual Fundraiser for Virginia Breast Cancer Foundation

October 22- Celebrate 50 years of LOVE with the kickoff of the Blacksburg Old Time Jam indoors for the fall & winter 🎻 Gillie's will host EVERY Tuesday night until spring.
7 PM – 9 PM
Participating musicians receive free coffee, tea or happy hour discount. Bring your fiddle or banjo and join the jam 🎶

October 24th - Free bag and $2.00 token to the first 50 people at the Blacksburg Farmers Market

October 25- Mountainfilm on Tour visits Blacksburg bringing a selection of culturally rich, adventure-packed and incredibly inspiring documentary films curated from the Mountainfilm festival held every Memorial Day weekend in Telluride, Colorado.

Held at The Lyric Theatre on October 25 the show will explore the themes connected to Mountainfilm’s mission: using the power of film, art and ideas to inspire audiences to create a better world.
Mountainfilm on Tour in Blacksburg is hosted by Cabo Fish Taco.
Doors open at 6 p.m. / Films start at 7 p.m.

October 26th - "And Now For Something Completely Different". Tickets will be 1969 prices of $1. There will also be a costume contest. Wear your funkiest outfit from 1969 or dress as your favorite Monty Python character and you might win a prize. Contest will take place at 3:00pm, followed by the movie.

October 28- November 1- Celebrate the 50th Anniversary of Heirloom Originals
Stop by the shop October 28th to November 1st from 11am-4pm for refreshments and a look into a very special past and future!!!!
