Seating for Seniors
Downtown Blacksburg, Inc. is working with the Town of Blacksburg, the AARP, and the Mount Tabor Ruritan Club to offer convenience to seniors planning to attend the Henderson Lawn Concerts on Friday nights in downtown Blacksburg this summer. Starting this Friday a limited amount of seating will be available on College Avenue facing the Henderson Lawn Stage for the concert. The seating will display "Reserved for AARP" signage, and an "usher" will keep seating available for our senior citizens attending the event.
Introducing the Blacksburg Drum Circle!
The Blacksburg Drum Circle is starting as a Friday night Sidewalk Stage happening in Blacksburg. The drum circle will begin on June 3rd and happen every Friday night from 7:30-9:30 at the Blacksburg Farmers Market.
So come one, come all! Bring your drums, bring your tambourines, bring your pots and pans, bring your hula-hoops, bring the kids, and bring your dancing feet!

UP ON THE ROOF
Mark your calendars for the 2016 Up on the Roof season! Our events are the LAST Thursday of every month from April - Sept. from 5:30pm - 8pm on APRIL 28th, May 26th, June 30th, July 28th, Aug 25th, Sept 29th. We are looking forward to another successful season of rooftop events, amazing local bands, local eats and craft beer and vodka - and of course, the best place to mix and mingle with old friends and new! Please look over our description for our policies. UOTR is an all volunteer run event organized by our dedicated committee. Admission is $4 includes one drink and food, $9 includes 3 drinks and food - $1 reusable cup. Non drinkers pay $4. Looking forward to seeing you there. UOTR is a registered non-profit. After covering the costs of our event, we give back to our community. UOTR is the proud supporter of the Downtown Blacksburg Mural Project, the 16 Blocks Frogs Project, Mix at the Mac, The Montgomery County Christmas Store, and United Way.
